Publication | Public Transport Improvement Roadmap for the Tashkent Region

 

TashkentThis study, requested by the Government of Uzbekistan, aims to support public transport reform. This report presents a strategic roadmap to guide and accelerate public transport reform.


The roadmap is closely aligned with the Presidential Resolution and the Public Transport Strategy and outlines clear policy directions to support system-wide improvements across the country. Building on these overarching policies, the roadmap further details short-term priorities for Tashkent city and Tashkent region, the focus area of this study, and proposes medium-term actions to scale up improvements in urban centers nationwide.

This study is initiated by the Ministry of Transport (MoT), in association with the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MoEF) and Agency for Strategic Reforms (ASR).

It is supported by the Korean Green Growth Trust Fund (KGGTF).
