Developing an Integrated Agriculture Information Platform (SISAGRO) in Honduras

Honduras

On November 6–7, KGGTF and its donor, Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, visited Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to review progress on the Agriculture grant supporting policies to establish the integrated Agricultural Information Platform (SISAGRO).

KGGTF held technical consultation meetings with the Secretariat of Agriculture and Livestock (SAG) and other key institutions (COPECO/CENAOS, ENEE) responsible for the country’s agro-meteorological services, as well as the integration of agricultural and disaster-risk data needed to operate and scale the platform. The mission assessed the system’s policy and operational impact to date, and reaffirmed the critical importance of data integration and the data governance required to support it. It also provided a valuable opportunity to hear feedback from beneficiaries of KGGTF-funded capacity-building programs, delivered in strong partnership with Korea’s NCAM (National Center for Agro-Meteorology) and other agencies.

During the mission, the team also met with the World Bank Representative in Honduras to discuss the country’s and the Bank’s priorities, strategic shifts, and areas for collaboration. At the meeting with CABEI, KGGTF shared its best practices, operational model, and processes, as well as its strong M&E system and partnerships.
