Highlights from recent conference, "Enhancing International Cooperation for Integrated Forest Fire Management"

The World Bank and Türkiye’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry co-hosted a high-level conference on Enhancing International Cooperation for Integrated Forest Fire Management. Convened in response to the increasing scale and intensity of wildfires, the event brought together policymakers, technical experts, innovators, and practitioners to exchange best practices, showcase Türkiye’s leadership, and foster stronger regional collaboration for climate-resilient forest management.

The event drew approximately 150 participants from around the world—including Albania, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, France, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Korea, Montenegro, Portugal, Tajikistan, Tashkent UZ, Turkmenistan, and the United States.
