Six key government officials from East Africa (Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania) participated in a week long knowledge exchange, Leaders in Urban Transport Planning, workshop on May 26 - June 01, 2024 in Seoul, Korea.
Participants learned how Korea's transport systems and smart city development evolved and got the opportunity to exchange and learn from urban mobility practitioners from East Asia and Pacific, South Asia and Europe and Central Asia. Specifically, the workshop also provided policymakers and practitioners with a platform to exchange knowledge about diagnosing urban transportation problems and developing effective strategies to promote more livable and sustainable cities.
Notably, the Leaders in Urban Transport Planning is also offered as a part of the World Bank Group Academy.
