KGGTF funded report, "Detox Development: Repurposing Environmentally Harmful Subsidies", first featured in KGGTF's June 2023 newsletter, received the 2024 World Bank VPU Award that recognizes teams that, in delivering an activity during the prior year, focused on the World Bank Core Values: impact, integrity, respect, innovation, and teamwork, as well as on supporting the FCV agenda, knowledge generating and sharing, and the achievement of VPU-specific objectives.
The report examines how subsidy reform can help safeguard the world’s foundational natural assets—clean air, land, and oceans and fills significant knowledge gaps using new data and methods.
