The World Bank has driven sustainable development initiatives worldwide, aligning its efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It has launched various green growth projects through its country offices worldwide, including the World Bank Korea Office.
These projects are supported by KGGTF, a collaborative endeavor between the Korean Government and the World Bank. By leveraging innovative technologies and strategic partnerships, the KGGTF aims to showcase the viability and effectiveness of sustainable practices in fostering economic growth while addressing environmental challenges. The World Bank’s dedication to these projects underscores its commitment to promoting sustainable development globally and advancing the SDGs.
The KGGTF hosted a session at GEEF 2024 (Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development) entitled, "SDGS Reboot: Insights from Global Green Growth Projects by the World Bank" where panelists from the World Bank highlighted vital World Bank projects and shared insights and achievements from them. Hyoung Gun Wang, KGGTF Program Manager, moderated the session.
