Grant Activities
Project Summary:
The grant aims to develop a digital ecosystem assessment tool for smart and inclusive cities and support interested World Bank Group (WBG) clients in applying the tool to assessing the readiness of the digital foundations at the city level. Development and application of a new assessment tool will take place under the Global Smart City Partnership Program (GSCP). GSCP is one of the long-standing, signature WBG programs on smart cities, with a strong track record of supporting over 50 WBG engagements in the past five years (2018-2023) under two phases. As GSCP transitions to the third phase (2023-2026), standardizing the program approach to smart city development has become critical for scaling up GSCP support and impact.
